Himachal Pradesh Forest Department

Publicity and Extension in the H.P. Forest Department is looked after by the Publicity Forest Division at Shimla.

The Division strives to create publicity & awareness and dissemination of information & education amongst masses regarding the need for protection and conservation of forests, wildlife and environment and also to project the policies and programmes of Forest Department in this direction and thereby enlisting people’s support and participation in these programmes, which is so vital for their success.

Publicity Forest Division undertakes various activities like installing exhibitions in International, National and State level Fares, organizing awareness programmes in schools & colleges and panchayat/village levels. Other activities of this division are production and distribution of publicity and awareness material such as posters, fliers, pamphlets etc.; displaying hoardings, cataloguing various developmental programmes and activities of department and a host of similar activities besides advertising the departmental policies and programmes in radio, print and electronic media.
